GLS Scholarships for German courses in Berlin
GLS is funding 11 scholarships for the period Jan 1 till Dec 31, 2011.

The scholarships include 2 weeks of German
... with 20 lessons per week. GLS is sponsoring tuition, accommodation is to be paid. Winners receive a voucher that they can use any time they like between Jan 1 and Dec 31 in 2011.
How to apply
We ask you to publish an illustrated essay on one of the 3 topics listed below. The essay should be written in German or, if yet impossible, in English. Every essay has to contain a minimum of 10 graphic elements, be it photos, drawings or graphics. Those illustrations are vital. As far as the text goes, you are free to interview others or focus on your own opinions.

- Media Watch Germany: How do media in your country present Germany?
- Berlin and its image: What do people in your country think of Berlin? Berlin´s image - where does it originate: books, films, people?
- Typically German!? Stereotypes are bad, but fun: what is considered typically German in your country? Are their specific reasons that people in your country see Germans the way they do?
What to do if you want to apply:
Please write an email to tina.ellner@gls-berlin.de and tell us that you would like to publish a photo essay. We will then email you the registration code to our online community, where you can publish your essay.
